The Stephen Huahn Memorial Scholarship for one of the top college seniors was presented to Kyle Lam, a business administration student at UC Riverside who wants to become a venture capitalist. Kyle is the grandson of Oi Chen Lam. His interests include golf, basketball, anime, investing, and traveling.
The Gim Hong & Sun Woo Lee Memorial Award for another top college senior was presented to Stacey Lau, a food science and technology major who graduated summa cum laude at Cal State Los Angeles. Her goal is to become a food scientist. Stacey is the granddaughter of Sui Ching Lau. Her interests include cooking, travelling, and volunteering.
The Johnny Wong Memorial Award — our newest memorial scholarship — for another top college senior was presented to Amy Wong, a political science major at UC Irvine who aims to become a lawyer. She is the granddaughter of Kung Bill Wong. Her interests include making and observing art, drinking tea, and cooking.
Kayla Chow was a junior at UC Riverside majoring in microbiology. Her goal is to be a clinical laboratory scientist. She is the granddaughter of Hoy and Jean Wong. Her interests include rock climbing, cooking, and going to K-pop concerts.
