The Gom Benn Scholarship Fund presented more than $2,000 in scholarships to 19 students at the March 23 Chinese New Year’s luncheon hosted by the Gom Benn Village Society.
The Stephen Huahn Memorial Scholarship, presented to the top college student, was awarded to Courtney Wong and Thomas Yan. Also in the college category, scholarships were awarded to Graig Lee, Winson Seto and Ernest Wong.
The Gim Oi Wong and Roy Wong Memorial Scholarship for the top high school students were presented to Anita Lee and Justin Wong.
Also in the high school category, scholarships were awarded to Veronica Lee, Amanda Toy, Adam Wong, Ashlee Wong, Curtis Wong and Hayley Wong.
In the junior high school or middle school category, scholarships were presented to Kristin Toy, Brent Young, Kari Wong and Christina Wu. Awards were presented to elementary school students Cherise H. Chuck and Lauren C. Wong.
