Jillian Pih was honored with the Gim Hong Lee Memorial Scholarship as one of our top college students. She is a junior at the University of Southern California, studying communications, psychology and marketing. Her career goal is to be a businesswoman at a top company. Her interests include long-distance running, hiking, baking and traveling. Jillian is the granddaughter of Chew Hoi, who for many years was the treasurer of the Scholarship Fund.
Keri Isara was honored with the Stephan Huahn Memorial Scholarship Award as another of our top college students. She is a junior at UC Irvine studying psychological sciences. Her career goal is to be an occupational therapist. Her interests include baking, volleyball and aikido. Keri is the granddaughter Gene Chin, former president of the Scholarship Fund.
Serena Lowe was honored for her academic achievements at UC Berkeley. An economics major, Serena’s career goal is to be a business consultant. Her interests include running, painting and cooking. Her grandmother is Marion Lowe.
Victoria Yan was honored for her academic achievements at UCLA. A biology major, her career goal is to be a doctor. Her interests include hiking, working out and cooking. Victoria is the granddaughter of Ngui Cheng Yan.
Jared Gee was honored for his academic achievements at USC. A business administration major, Jared’s career goal is to be a corporate lawyer. His interests include investing, reading, music, photography, basketball, volleyball, and being around friends and family. He is the grandson of Kim (Wong) Gee.
Noah A. was honored for his academic achievements at UC Riverside. A business administration major, Noah’s career goal is to be an actuary, financial planner or marketing manager. His interests include concerts, food, and social events. His uncle is Harry Wong, head of the Gom Benn Village Society.
Breanna Quon was honored for her academic achievements at Cal Poly Pomona. A kinesiology major, Breanna’s career goal is to be an occupational therapist. Her interests include playing basketball. Her grandmother is Frances Lai.
Bryant Yang was honored for his academic achievements at UCLA. Bryant is majoring in civil and environmental engineering, with a career goal of being an engineer. His interests include photography, listening to EDM, “simping,” binge-watching Netflix shows, Haikyuu manga series, eating out at Korean BBQ, and meeting new people. His grandfather is Karl Lee, a longtime member of the Scholarship Fund executive board.
Kyle Lam was honored for his academic achievements at UC Riverside. He majored in economics and minored in finance, with a career goal of being an investment banker. His interests include golf, basketball, investing in stocks, and traveling the world. His grandmother is Oi Chen Lam.
Stacey Lau was honored for her academic achievements at Cal State L.A., where she majored in Food Science and Technology. Her career goal is to be a food technologist. Her interests include piano, art projects, and cooking. Her grandmother is Sui Ching Wong.
