Gom Benn Scholarship Fund (legally the Kan Pien Scholarship Fund) was established as a non-profit organization in 1982 by Bing S. Wong, with his contribution and the contributions from other Gom Benn members. Our mission is to promote academic excellence and to celebrate our proud heritage.
Over the years, many others have contributed. The interest and dividends from the Fund’s investments, about $120,000 in mid-2021, are used only for scholarships for Gom Benn descendants, and related expenses and events.
Donations are tax deductible. To contribute, make out your check to Kan Pien Scholarship Fund, and mail to 1746 Morgan Lane, Redondo Beach, CA 90278.
